Our winery and vineyards are located in the municipalities of Sikyonion and Asprokampos. Asprokampos is one of the 17 districts that form the Nemea Protected Designation of Origin (PDO Nemea) zone of the Agiorgitiko homeland.
The plateau of Lake Stymfalia in combination with the Ziria Massif creates a unique microclimate that favors the production of quality wines. Some of the most important Greek and international vine varieties are cultivated in the privately owned vineyards of 12 hectares. The varieties were selected after extensive research and experimentation with the sole purpose of producing quality wines.
The white wines of the winery are produced from Assyrtiko, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malagousia, Moschofilero and Muscat Ottonel. For the production of red and rosé wines, Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Tannat are grown. Vineyards are cultivated in accordance with the principles of GLOBALG.AP V.5.0 Integrated Management System (EUREPGAP).
The winery has a long-standing partnership with producers in the wider area of Asprokampos, covering a total area of about 5 hectares, following the same cultivation protocols to meet the needs of the winery for grapes. The winery is equipped with modern winemaking and bottling machinery that meet international safety standards. Professional know-how, years of experience and collective effort from vineyard cultivation and winemaking to bottling and disposal, are essential requirements for products labeled Pyrgakis Estate.
