The fertile valleys of mainland Greece are home to some of the best vineyards in the country. With almost 150 years of winemaking that spans four generations, the Gikas family has been creating an outstanding variety of wines from this blessed region.
The winery’s 15 hectares of prized vineyards lie at the slopes of Mount Kithairon, at an altitude of 350-400 meters, in what is considered one of Central Greece’s best wine-growing regions. Here we grow the varieties Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Vradiano, Grenache Rouge and Avgoustiatis.
The sandy loamy soil, with its light gradients and its northeast orientation, creates a unique terroir that allow the varieties to express their optimal characteristics.
The winery is housed in a stone building and has a capacity of 3000 HL with state-of-the-art equipment that caters to all the needs of classical and modern winemaking. The winery is supported by our own oenological laboratory.
The winery is open to visitors for wine tasting and you may also buy our wines directly on site.
