In 1989, Giorgos Manolesakis began cultivating, in his privately owned vineyards in Adriani of Drama, varieties that were perfectly suited to the microclimate of the area, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Assyrtiko, Ugni Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Enrichment of viticulture knowledge is an ongoing quest at the winery, with the aim of producing the highest quality grapes possible. This quest has led to the introduction of new varieties such as Malagousia, Muscat of Alexandria, Assyrtiko, Limnio, Moschomavro and Agiorgitiko.
In 1998 the winery opened as Manolesakis Estate. The company’s privately owned winery of 1500 square meters, is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery required for a modern winery to produces high-quality wines. With state-of-the-art stainless equipment, the winemaking process is driven by the care and expertise of scientifically trained personnel.
