Papathanasiou Family Winery

In the early 1990s, Christos Papathanasiou, returning from his postgraduate studies in France and inspired by French wine culture, set out to make his vision of producing quality wines a reality. He established his first experimental vineyard and then built his winery.

Thanasis Papathanasiou, firstborn son of the family and an oenology graduate of the University of Western Attica, has taken on the vinification, creation and production of high-quality wines of distinction. Giorgos Papathanasiou, an agronomist graduate of the University of Thessaly, is responsible for the success of the winery’s own organic vineyards, as well as planting new varieties and reviving traditional ones.
