The Romalidis family has been very closely associated with vineyards and wine since the early 1990s. In 1993, on the family’s land in Ampeli of Serres, an area renowned for producing high-quality grapes, they created the first model vineyard where noble, indigenous and foreign varieties of grapes thrive today. The vineyards are located in the foothills of the Vertiskos Mountain at an altitude of 360 meters. It is an area of low hills where the microclimate in combination with sandy loam is the starting point and base for quality wines. The original cultivation of 1.5 hectares was gradually expanded to 5 hectares of vineyards, which in 2004 were included in a program of organic farming.
The passion and love of the Romalidis family for wine have led to the creation of a traditional winery with stainless steel fermentation and storage tanks, an electronic thermal control system and underground air-conditioned cellars with oak barrels for ageing the wine.
